NCGLEA Agency Subscriber Program

NCGLEA Agency Subscriber Program

What is the NCGLEA agency subscriber program and how does it work?

NCGLEA’s subscriber program offers Law Enforcement Agencies a cost effective way to provide training for their staff for a low yearly fee.  The program was put into place in 2009 to maintain the high quality of training at NCGLEA in light of shrinking state funding.  To become a subscriber, an agency remits a subscriber fee of $50 per sworn officer per year.  Subscriber agency staff may attend any course sponsored by NCGLEA without additional charge.  Subscriber agencies also receive seating preference.  For more information, please contact Marty Binkley at 770.499.5071.

How much does training at NCGLEA cost for a non-subscriber agency?

Training for non-subscriber agencies is priced at $12.50 per person per instructional hour.

What is the fee structure for Basic Mandate and Basic Jail Training?

Any agency, regardless of subscriber status, may send personnel to NCGLEA to attend either basic mandate or jail school at no cost.  These courses are paid through the Academy’s contract with the Georgia Public Safety Training Center.
